EVC2 Beta Software
Quote from elmor on 2022-02-21, 20:41Quote from Mario Kriegsmann on 2022-02-21, 20:09Hello Jon,
this did the trick now! So pmd.txt is now generated and there are the current values of the GPU and CPU power visible - cool!
But I noticed a further Problem. So every new read cycle (what is it 250ms refresh?) the log-file gets overwritten with the new value over and over again. The logs should be stayed in the file, that the splunkforwarder can pickup the logs, like in the logging-process with the EVC2-tool. I put a screenshot where you can see the textfile above (pmd.txt) and a logfile from the evc2-tool (at the bottom). Also the Date/Time is missing and without that a matching of the values is not possible. It should be in csv-format like the evc2-tool it does.
Sorry to be a pain again, but you've come so far! Thank you so much for your extra effort!
Hello Mario,
Ok sorry I misunderstood which type of output you wanted. Here's an updated version with CSV output (filename pmd.csv): https://1drv.ms/u/s!Atmpv-6qHr_61r0UBawtqvV5AwlVbA?e=l3gZhI

Hello Mario, I'm happy it finally works as preferred by you 🙂 I will try to find some time to add options to the tool such as selecting bus and different devices. And maybe to work at the same time as EVC2.

Quote from Fatronix on 2022-05-21, 19:30Hey Elmor. Is it possible to add monitoring to such HWinfo64 and rivatuner statistics server applications? if it's not up to you, could you write it to the software developers what would they add. Is it possible to change charts in the application. I want to measure the power consumption of video cards, from the PCI Express slot through the riser, 8-PIN PCI-E

Hello, yes this was added in EVC2 SW 1.0.1.0 (under Data Logger function). Right click the graphs you want to add and select "Add to Data Logger". Then open Data Logger under EVC 2.0 and check "HWInfo export".

Coming back to the mp2891, i am trying to use the tool on a 3090 ti galax ex gamer and noticed this also use the same voltage controller listed above.
Please Could you clarify where i can connect scl-sda-gnd on the j5007 connector? Thanks

Hi, please note voltage control is probably not working on MP2891 yet. Only monitoring and maybe Loop 2 (Memory Voltage) control.
J5007 does look promising. Can you check continuity with a multimeter from the MP2891 IC pin #15 (SDA) and pin#16 (SCL) to the J5007 pins? Ground you can check for example from the screw hole with exposed copper above the MEC21 text.

Ok will do that and let you know how it goes 👍. Also There are deep switches on the rear of pcb just around the mp2891, not sure if they enable any functionality:

Hi Elmor, I've checked continuity and it's only to the square circle on j5007. I guess that would be ground. 🤷♂️

Hi, FYR voltage control is working with MP2891 with this software version: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Atmpv-6qHr_63JgdlCr0gwxJQ7cHuQ?e=sG6HO1
